THE CHERRY MAN.....
Doesn't everyone go to the grocery store and go to the fruit isle and maybe take a grape or even a CHERRY to try before you buy? There were no signs up that said "No testing the fruit before you buy" ...I was waiting in a long line to pay for my frozen foods along with the other item and also on a time schedule so I could catch a yellow cab back home and feed my guests. But there it was again. The flashing light at the register and a man yelling at the cashier. I counted, 8 people ahead of me too. I looked at the other lines and long, long, long. Security came over. It took 3 plain clothes people to say to this man. "You opened the pack of cherries and you must pay for them. Ring them up on his bill" They said to the cashier. So the cashier did. Then the CHERRY MAN said "I didn't open that. It was like that. You did it when you scanned the item. I didn't open anything." Yelling loudly. "Charge him for the cherries." said one of the plain clothes security men. "I am not paying for that or anything else." Said the CHERRY MAN. and began to walk out of the store past the security. Oh all the radios went off and police were called. 2 cars of 2 police each. By the time I changed cashiers and walked out, the police were outside talking with security...then a car drove up and parked in a NO Parking Zone! Out of the car gets the Cherry Man. Yelling at the police. (I had to watch this one from a distance) First the CHERRY MAN takes a cherry from the package. It was obvious that it was a finger hole in the package, then says he is not going to pay for that and blames the cashier. Security is called. He walks out. Police are called. Now the Cherry Man is turning himself in. And as I watched this from a distance. A police officer, not the ones with him, walked over to his car and put a ticket on it! What luck did this guy have today, all because of a tase of a CHERRY! I left in a cab and laughed. I know the CHERRY MAN did'nt know about the ticket yet. Wait until he goes to his car! What a day for the CHERRY MAN!!!
