The Heat of My Eyeballs steamed up my glasses and left imprints of my eyeballs onto the glass. I am not kidding. Only to Speedy. I am the one that could burn out batteries in a watch . Some say that batteries click with your heart rate. What is mine?....
and here it is! My subway adventures in New York .
How I love the subways, and that is the truth. I am a collector of subway memories. I visit the transit store often. Have many tokens which i saved and now Metrocards I pick up off the street. Even my friends save me theirs now. I have 4 shoe boxes filled with used metrocards I picked up off the floor at subway stations. And yes i do run them through the scanner ...sometime I find a fun pass so I use it or sometimes a few dollars on the card. Alot are tourist that just drop the card on purpose. There is an art form to me on the metrocards and us collector know that.
Today was very hot like 100 degrees or more in the city. I had to work, so I took the C train to my stop when waiting on the platform, no air circulation. I sweated in places i did not know I can sweat in. Even sweat balls dripped off my chin, this sound impossible but even me going to the beach which i do alot of, I have never done this and one other thing...I had my sunglasses on most of the day. There was heat fog where my eyeballs are so I had to keep on cleaning the glasses...so much happens in the subway, well we are in the depth of the earth!
On the way back from work I stopped at Macy's to visit a friend and noticed on the 7th floor there is a McDonalds amist all the clothes, so Speedy had to go to that McDonalds for the adventure of saying I went to McDonalds in Macy's with all the cloths on the out side of the entrance...It's like a magical entrance to food and decor of happiness...and of course to get to the floor, I had to take the wooden escalator...how does anyone with a stroller get on those escalators? Well it happened and I think the lady was really sorry she did. I had to watch before I got on in case it stopped . But she held on for dear life as the wooden escalator asended into McDonald Heaven...
I decided to go to China town so again I take the subway to Prince st. I wanted to walk into China town. Subway adventure. No air intake at the terminal, not even circulation, HOT my glasses steamed up at the eyeballs, at the platform , that SMELL of bleach...how awful, people holding their nose (and I did too) with the heat and heavy smell of bleach . I was feeling not too well between not seeing due to eyeball heat and smelling bleach. Finally the train arrived, I got on and the smell was still in my nose, got off at Prince St. & the smell there at the station was cleaning chemical...what a day....again covered my mouth & nose and walked fast to get out...
I walked and it began to rain. I loved the rain right now. Summer, sun and coolness. Went to a Mall on Broadway with all Asian items. Loved it ....
I had a nice day, really, I do love MTA subways...and the energy of New York!
